Keeping fan engagement genuine and timely can be a challenge, especially when you're balancing multiple conversations.
With Smart Lists, it's easy to group your fans into lists based on their spending power, subscription length, or subscription status.
Smart lists filter your fans based on your preferences, making it easier to plan your engagement strategies. You can edit the criteria of each list and choose to exclude non-paying fans.
Creating your smart lists
Before you can set your lists' sorting criteria, you'll have to create a smart list.
Here's how:
Click on Growth, then go to Smart lists
Click on Create List
Select which type of list you want to create
Segmented smart list based on total spend or subscription length
A smart list for fans who've recently subscribed
A smart list for fans with expiring subscriptions
A smart list for fans with expired subscriptions
Set your list's criteria (e.g., how long a fan's subscription's been expired)
Check the box if you'd like to include expired fans in your list
Note: You can make multiple smart lists based on different criteria, but you can only have one segmented smart list for each type.
It takes about 30 minutes for your data to be collected for each list. Each list is updated every 6 hours.
Types of smart lists
Regular smart lists—excluding segmented smart lists—group fans based on their subscription status, such as:
New fans: Fans who have recently subscribed to your Creator profile
Expiring: Fans with subscriptions that are about to expire
Expired: Fans with recently expired subscriptions
You can create multiple lists of the same type as long as your criteria aren't the same.
For example, this Creator has an “Expiring” and “Expiring (1 month)” list.
In one list, fans’ subscriptions expire in 11 days, and in the other, they expire in a month.
Note: Suffixes are added to your smart lists to make sure there aren't duplicates, Eg: Low Spenders-B9K. After scanning for fans, the system may change your list name by randomizing a suffix.
Segmented Smart lists
We made it so you can also create subgroups based on subscription length and spending power.
These subgroups are called segments, and each segment can act as its own independent list. Fans can be sorted into ranges, so you can tailor your messaging strategies to fit each group, boosting your engagement and earnings.
For example, if you make a segmented smart list based on spending power, you can pool fans into three segments: Low, Middle, or High spending, based on names of your choosing.
You can also adjust your fans' spending range or subscription length segments to your personal preference.
