Smart Lists

Automatically group fans for targeted retention and engagement strategies.

What are Smart Lists?

Smart Lists let you filter and segment fans based on specific behaviors—like purchases, replies, or spending thresholds, so you can target the right audience with the right content. Use Smart Lists to power campaigns, follow-ups, or VIP outreach with precision.

Then, you can use the lists to send priority mass messages or other Smart Messages.

Segment by total spend

Create Smart Lists based on how much they're spending.

  1. Go to Growth > Smart lists

  2. Click Create list

  3. Select Segment by total spend

  4. Set your segments

  5. Check if you'd like to include expired fans

  6. Select Create and you'll see each segment as it's own list

Note: You can only have one segmented Smart List.

It takes about 30 minutes for your data to be collected for each list. Each list is updated every 6 hours.


New fans

Create Smart Lists for new fans.

  1. Go to Growth > Smart lists

  2. Click Create list

  3. Select New fans

  4. Enter how many days they should subscribed for

  5. Select Create

You can make multiple lists with different subscribe days.

Note: Suffixes are added to your smart lists to make sure there aren't duplicates. After scanning for fans, the system may change your list name by randomizing a suffix.


It takes about 30 minutes for your data to be collected for each list. Each list is updated every 6 hours.
