What are free trial links?
With free trial links feature, you can create free trials to attract new fans on platforms like TikTok, Discord, Reddit, Instagram, and more.
Using Infloww's Marketing Analytics features, you can monitor and evaluate the performance of each channel, track your earnings, and more.
Attribution
Earnings are credited to the fan’s most recent tracking or free trial link (rolling attribution). If a fan subscribes through a new link, all future earnings are automatically attributed to that link. This ensures revenue is always tied to the fan’s current active subscription source—not any prior links.
Creating a free trial link
Go to Growth > Free trial links
Click on Create free trial link in the top right of the overview table
In the window that pops up, you can:
Give your free trial link a name (this cannot be edited once it is set)
Chose your offer limit (no limit or up to 100 subscribers)
Choose when the offer expires (No expiration or up to 30 days)
Select the free trial duration (up to 12 months)
Add tags to the link (these will help you sort and categorize your links)
Select the channel source where you'll use the link (e.g., TikTok, Reddit, Twitch, or your own custom source). This will help you analyze the performance later.
(Optional) Choose the list you want to add the new fans to automatically when they use this link
Click Create to save your link
By automatically adding fans to a list, you make it easier to send targeted or group messages later.
Promo costs
When creating free trial links, you can manually enter the promo cost for each campaign to calculate its ROI accurately.
When creating tracking links, you can manually input the promo cost for each campaign to calculate the ROI of your campaign.
To add a promo cost:
Go to Growth > Free Trial Links
Create a new free trial link, or select the ✏️ icon for the existing link you'd like to edit under Actions
Input the amount spent to promote the link on other channels (e.g. sponsored Instagram posts)
Click Save to confirm
The entered promo cost is used to calculate the ROI metric displayed in the table.
Organize fans by source using lists
When you set up a free trial link, you can also choose to automatically add fans to a specific list when they subscribe through that link.
Create a new fan list
You can create a new fan list in two ways:
From the Create free trial link popup window
Under List, open the drop-down menu and select Add new list
From the free trial links overview dashboard
Click on the gear icon next to the List column
Click on the + New list button
Why this matters
You’ll immediately know where each fan came from—whether it was a paid promo, social campaign, or a specific creator collab.
It helps you segment fans based on source, making it easier to target future messages or offers.
You can use folders as mini-audience groups—perfect for Smart Lists, follow-ups, or revenue comparisons.
Example: Set up a free trial link for a collaboration from a partner creator, and assign it to the folder “Promo with Jane.” All fans who subscribe via that link will automatically be grouped into that folder.
Deactivating active campaigns
Once a campaign is complete, you can simply deactivate the free trial campaign links.
To deactivate a free trial link:
Go to Growth > Free Trial Links
Click the three dots under the Actions column
Click Deactivate
You'll be prompted to confirm campaign deactivation
Click Deactivate to confirm
Note: Expired campaigns will automatically be hidden from the campaign list. To view expired campaigns, toggle the Show expired switch on.
