FAQs

Why can't I see Welcome Message, Expired Message, Expiring messages anymore?

Smart Messages replaces these and gives you a lot more control over your messaging. For more information on how we've migrated these messages, see here.

Which roles can create Smart Messages?

Team leaders, Chatters & Creators have full access to create Smart Messages and check their statistics. Please check if this correlates with your previous settings.

I have multiple automated messages live. Will a fan receive multiple messages?

If a fan meets the criteria to receive multiple messages, there's a hierarchy in place that determines which one they'll receive.

The hierarchy is:

1. Birthday
2. Expired
3. Nearing expiry
4. Resubscribe
5. Purchased
6. Delayed welcome
7. Nudge

For example, if the fan is nearing expiring but it's their birthday today – they'll only receive the birthday message.

What does viewed media include? Does it include media a fan might watch in the story?

Media viewed includes free messages to fans and unlocked PPV messages.

It doesn't include Story's media or S4S-used media.

Old auto messages

Smart Messages replaces Welcome Message, Expired Fans message, and Expiring Fans message.

Our new feature gives you more control over when the message is sent, your audience, and the message content.
