Auto-messages

Learn how to set your auto-messages for different scenarios

Updated over a week ago

With auto-messages, you can send automated messages to welcome new fans and target fans with expired or expiring subscriptions, making it easy to engage your fans at any stage of their journey.

You can also test and track different messages for tailored promotions based on each audience segment spanning power, so your auto messages always hit their mark.

Auto-messages fall into three categories, each with their own page:

  • Welcome Messages: Customize and send automated welcome messages to new subscribers.

  • Expiring Fans: Customize and send automated welcome messages to fans with expiring subscriptions.

  • Expired Fans: Customize and send automated welcome messages to fans with expired subscriptions.

Welcome Messages

The Welcome Messages page lets you add auto-messages, see their statistics, and monitor their performance.

You can also customize when your welcome messages will be sent based on a random time interval of your choosing, making your auto-messages feel more genuine.

Note: All auto-messages are sent out with delays.

Creating a welcome message

To create a welcome message:

  • Click +Add messages

  • Create your message, add any media files, and set your message price

  • Once done, click Save

Note: Welcome messages are sent out in a random order, no matter how many there are.

It's best to create more than one message line in your auto-message set so it feels more human. That way, fans are less likely to think they're speaking to a bot.

Expiring and Expired messages

Auto-messages can be sent to fans with expiring or recently expired subscriptions.

With the Expiring and Expired Fans pages, you can also set messages that target specific audience groups based on their spending power.

These audience groups are:

  • All

  • Freeloaders: $0

  • Small spenders: The minimum range that fans have spent based on your preferences.

  • Big spenders: The maximum range that fans have spent based on your preferences, excluding small spenders.

To create an auto-message for expiring and expired fans:

  • Select the audience group (Any expiring/expired fans, Freeloaders, Small spenders, Big Spenders)

  • Click +New line to create one or more message lines

  • (Optional) Add any media files and set your message price

  • Once done, click Save

  • Under Add follow-up message, click +New line to create a follow-up message

  • (Optional) Add any media files and set your message price

  • Once done, click Save

Note: If your fans auto-renew their subscriptions, you can prepare follow-up messages that specifically target them, streamlining your promotional message campaigns.

โ€‹Fans who resubscribe won't receive a welcome message.

Fans get a follow-up message each time they resubscribe and their payment is processed.
