How to manage private content requests

Never miss a revenue opportunity by managing private content requests in Messages Pro.

Written by Andrea

Private content requests allow fans to ask creators for custom content directly through mym. Messages Pro helps you stay on top of these requests by making them easy to find, respond to, and complete - all without leaving Messages Pro.

Whether you’re working through a busy inbox or managing requests across multiple creators, the Requests filter and push notifications help ensure every request gets the attention it deserves.

Find private content requests

Messages Pro includes a dedicated Requests filter that displays conversations where a fan has submitted a private content request.

To view your requests:

  1. Open Messages Pro.

  2. Select the Requests filter above your inbox.

  3. Open any conversation to review the fan’s request.

The inbox updates immediately to show only conversations containing private content requests.

Tip: Check the Requests filter regularly throughout your shift to avoid missing potential sales opportunities.

Respond to a request

Once you’ve reviewed a fan’s request, continue the conversation as you normally would.

Depending on the request, you can:

  • Ask follow-up questions

  • Confirm the details with the fan

  • Send a custom price for the requested content

Keeping the conversation active helps move the request toward a purchase while ensuring both you and the fan understand what’s being delivered.

Receive updates

Messages Pro keeps you informed as the request progresses.

You’ll receive push notifications when:

  • A fan submits a new private content request.

  • A fan accepts your quoted price.

Selecting the notification opens the corresponding conversation directly in Messages Pro, allowing you to continue the conversation immediately.

Heads up: Messages Pro currently supports push notifications only. Historical notifications remain available in mym Basic.

Complete the request

Once the fan accepts your price, you can prepare and deliver the requested content through your normal chatting workflow.

Using Vault Pro while chatting makes it easy to find and send media if the requested content already exists in your library.
