Learn about DRM-protected videos and how it affects media playback

Updated over a week ago

The platform has introduced a Digital Rights Management (DRM) protection system for videos uploaded by Creators on the platform.

What is DRM Protection?

DRM protection is a technology that encrypts digital content to prevent unauthorized access and distribution. Videos uploaded by Creators are protected from being downloaded and shared without their permission.

How this affects Infloww

With DRM enabled, employees cannot preview DRM-protected video files uploaded to the vault, which may cause issues when creating PPV scripts and mass messages.

What about old videos?

Videos uploaded by Creators before introducing the DRM protection feature are not encrypted and can still be previewed. However, if a Creator chooses to delete and reupload their old content, the re-uploaded videos will be encrypted and protected by the DRM system.

Why can't I see some of the content?

If you're unable to view video content, this may be due to DRM video protection being enabled. Check your Privacy and safety settings in Settings to see if you have DRM video protection turned on.

How can I disable DRM Protection?

From the Manager:

  • Go to Settings > Privacy and safety

  • Scroll down to Safety

  • If enabled, toggle Enable DRM video protection to disable DRM protection for the Creator
